Putra International College (PIC) was established in 2001 as a subsidiary of Kumpulan Langkawi Resources, a Group of Companies in which its core businesses include construction, property, timber, gold, information technology and multimedia, education, pharmaceutical and many more. Within the education arm of the Group, PIC is a private college approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia.

Operating in a former four star international resort in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, PIC currently offers various academic programs ranging from certificate to Master degree courses. We are recognized as an extended site of Troy University, Alabama, US in this region. This recognition allows us to offer the prestigious American university’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Malaysia.

The standing of Troy University and the approval given to all our programs are testaments of our efforts in providing high quality tertiary education to our students. All our programs, including Troy’s are approved by the National Accreditation Board and the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia. Troy University is accredited by The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). It is also recognized by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). For three consecutive years, Troy has been named one of the best universities in the southeast of US by Princeton Review.

In addition, U.S. News and World Report’s Annual Guide ranked Troy University’s Master programs as one of the best in the Southeast region of US. As such, our students are assured of high quality and internationally recognized education.

Malaysian students upon completing their SPM/UEC/STPM or international students who have completed their 12 years of education and fulfill our entry requirements are eligible to apply for admission into our Troy University’s programs. It is expected that students will take five years to complete their Bachelor and MBA degrees at a fraction of cost. The programs follow the same syllabus and are delivered by qualified and certified instructors/adjunct professors as per the requirements of Troy University. Students will get their degrees issued by Troy University upon completion of their studies.

In addition, we also offer various certificate and diploma programs which enable you to transfer your credits earned to our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Computer Science programs. If you have obtained a certificate and/or diploma from other institutions of higher learning, we would be more than happy to consider transferring some of your credits to the aforementioned programs. In this case, your duration of study would be shortened and you could realize your dreams of becoming a graduate sooner.

PIC is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities which enable us to boost our reputation as one of the more popular choices among local and international students. Among the facilities offered include IT and multimedia-equipped lecture halls and tutorial rooms, computer and language labs, fully furnished resort-style rooms with housekeeping facilities, swimming pool, karaoke room, pool, cafeteria and many more. Our 24/7 tight security provides a safe and conducive environment for all our students.

Our application for a change of status to an international college has recently been approved, mirroring the international community that is currently residing in our institution. Currently, we have students from Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, United States and many more are joining us in the near future.

In addition, as part of the college’s social responsibility and good corporate ethics, we offer various types of scholarships to excellent students, i.e. entry scholarship, merit scholarship, leadership scholarship and tuition waiver for siblings.
