Admission
Putra International College shall consider all applicants for admission
to programs of study irrespective of age, disability or alternative
need, ethnic origin, sex, marital status, nationality, political
or religious belief, or sexual orientation.
If an applicant tenders or causes to be tendered false or
deliberately misleading information in support of an application,
the applicant shall be disqualified from the admissions process.
If the applicant has enrolled, the College may at its sole
discretion terminate the student's enrollment.

A. Malaysian Admission Procedures |
The documents needed for an admission application are
listed below:

Application Form, accompanied by the application fee.
This fee is non-refundable and constitutes part of the
admission credentials. |
| 2. |
Certified
copies of Educational Certificates (with English Translation).
The College accepts a minimum of 5 credits including
Mathematics and English for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia
(SPM) Examination results. |
| 3. |
Certified copies of English Tests i.e. TOEFL, IELTS, etc.
(with English Translation). The College accepts the minimum
score for the examination stated below.
• TOEFL (Paper Test) is 500
• TOEFL (Computer-based) is 175
• IELTS is 5.5 |
| 4. |
Transcripts from College attended (Certificates/ Diploma/
Matriculation, etc.) |
| 5. |
Passport-size colored photographs (8 copies). |
| 6. |
Photocopy of Identity Card (I/C) for both sides. |
| 7. |
Home Address, Mailing Address (if different from home
address) and email address (if any) for future correspondence. |

B. International Admission Procedures |
Application
for admission by international students should be made at
least three months in advance from the date of proposed entry.
International students may forward their application through
electronic means, but the credentials themselves must be completed,
signed and mailed prior to issuance of the necessary documents
to obtain an entry visa to Malaysia.
The

The College accepts a student who has undergone a minimum
of 12 years of primary and secondary education. |

Certified copies of English Tests i.e. TOEFL, IELTS,
etc. (with English Translation). The College accepts
the minimum score for the examination stated below.

• TOEFL (Computer-based) is
175
• IELTS is 5.5 |

International
students who are 25 years old and above, the Malaysian
Immigration Department needs a SUPPORTING LETTER (with
English translation) from the school or the employer
(for those who are working) stating the actual reason
for studying in Putra International College. The Supporting Letter,
if possible, should be written in English. If it is
not written in English, an Official English Translation
must be sent. |

Upon receipt
of these documents and payment of USD 300, the application
is processed and approved if the applicant meets the entry
requirements for admission into the chosen program, i.e. the
Intensive English Program or the Bachelor Degree Program.

Student’s Visa Application |
The
student's visa application approval by the Malaysian Immigration
Department will take approximately 14-60 working days from
the date of submission. Once the visa has been approved, the
College will send the Visa Approval Letter to the agent or
the student directly for entry visa application from the Malaysian
Embassy at the student's country of origin.
[Note:
The Visa Approval is valid for 3 months from the date of issued.
If the student is unable to report to the College before the
due date, the student will have to bear the subsequent extension
fee of USD60.00.]
All
international students are required to remit the first year
tuition and other incidental fees to the College bank account
at least 7 days before arrival. Transportation for international
students from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will
be arranged once the payments are made. Flight information
must be provided at least 3 days before the arrival date.
