1. Dr TANG CHAI YOONG - Public Office & Interest
Besides being a serious corporate figure Dr. Tang Chai Yoong is a passionate philanthropist. He was elected and currently retains the position of Deputy President of the Selangor/Wilayah Persekutuan Hainan Association and is a Council member of the “Hainan University” in China. In addition, he is a Director and the Treasurer of Chiao Nan Chinese Primary School in Kuala Lumpur.
Dr. Tang is also a life member of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, Kuala Lumpur.
Dr Tang Chai Yoong received the prestigious honorary Doctorate Degree in Humane Letters from Troy University, Alabama, U. S. A.
Furthermore, Dr. Tang and his wife Mdm. Yap Show Kum were awarded the honorary citizenship status from the State of Alabama, U. S. A.
Advancement of Education
Dr Tang Chai Yoong is involved in various core businesses which are incessantly growing. He is currently the President of Kumpulan Langkawi Resources Group dealing in property development and management.
Dr Tang Chai Yoong is the Managing Director of the Putra International College Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia. This institution offers academic courses ranging from the certificate level to Masters in the fields of Business Administration, Computer Science, Arts & Design, and Intensive English Programmes.
Joint Venture with China – MINING
Dr Tang Chai Yoong is also involved in projects involving mining through his company namely Master Sky International Holdings Limited. Master Sky is a shareholder of Sinomine International Exploration (Hong Kong) Co. while its other shareholder is a China State owned company, Sinomine Resource Exploration Co., Ltd.
Development & Construction in Malaysia & India
Dr Tang through his associate companies such as Kumpulan Langkawi Resorts Capital Sdn. Bhd. has embarked in various development and construction projects in a few states in Malaysia ranging from middle to upper class residential and commercial development projects.
Further in an attempt to penetrate into India’s development industry, Dr Tang Chai Yoong through his group has been in collaboration with an Indian counterpart to develop and construct a commercial development project in Calicut, Kerala.
Timber Concession in Papua New Guinea
At present, Dr Tang Chai Yoong’s Group through its affiliates namely Otavo Resource Development and Norsam Trading PNG limited have gained rights over 227 hectares of timber concession in Oro Province, Papua New Guinea.
2. Ms LUO XIAO PING
Ms. Luo Xiao Ping holds a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Guangzhou, China.
She has more than twenty years of working experience in the financial, administration and consultancy fields.
She is currently the Director/Vice President of Putra International College. Her responsibilities includes consistently exploring new local and international markets by maintaining close relationship with China University partners and international agents. She is mainly responsible to market programmes to China.
3. Mr SYED MEDHAR BIN SYED ABDULLAH
Mr. Syed Medhar bin Syed Abdullah has a degree in Business Management (UPM) majoring in Marketing. He has been actively involved with community work especially amongst youths. Over the years he has received several titles namely the Pingat Pankuan Negara (PPN), Bintang Cemerlang Melaka (BCM) and Darjah Serp Melaka (DSM).
He is currently the Managing Director of Sri Juyong Sdn Bhd a company dealing in Construction and Housing Development . He is also the Chairman in Lingkaran Muhibah Sdn Bhd which is a “Class A” Contractor.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND PASSION
Head of UMNO Youth Cheras Branch and Deputy UMNO Youth Federal Territory Wilayah Persekutuan (2004 till current)
Syed Medhar Bin Syed Abdullah is actively involved in the development of youths especially in the field of education. Among others, he has been involved in promoting English amongst youths sitting for the National Malaysian exams at the UPSR, PMR and SPM level. In addition he has facilitated the organizing of motivational seminars to enhance a sense of direction and purpose among youths. In relation to this he has raised funds for charity as well.
Member of Hospital Kuala Lumpur (2010 - current)
As an individual who undertakes community project he is the key liaison channel between the poor community in need of medical attention and the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL). He has undertaken several projects such as organizing blood donation drives, health campaigns, etc.
Visiting Council member for Taman Seri Puteri Cheras (2004 - current)
He is also involved in providing and directing individuals for domestic counseling issues and various social problems concerning marital and adolescence issues. He channels resources towards upholding the sanctity of marriages and social well being of the community.

4. Dr ARIFF KASIM
Dr. Ariff has vast experience in education. He graduated with B. A. (Hons) Second Class Upper (Anthropology and Sociology) from University of Malaya (1977), M. A. (Programme Evaluation) from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U. S. A. (1988), and Doctor of Education (Ed. D) (Human Resource Development) from Western Michigan University, U. S. A. (1995). He has held various positions in the public sector since 1977 until his retirement in 2005. He was a teacher, senior teacher, Assistant Director, Senior Assistant Director, Head of the University Unit, and the Director of the Enforcement Division, Private Education Department, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
When he was the Assistant Director and then the Senior Assistant Director at the Educational Planning and Research Division (EPRD), Ministry of Education (1981 – 1997) he was involved in numerous researches at the national and international level. These researches include the Pre-School Study Project (1982-1984) under UNESCO which resulted in the guidelines and policy for pre-schools in Malaysia. He was also entrusted the responsibility to conduct a research study by himself on rural students in the under-developed areas in Peninsular Malaysia for UNESCO Bangkok (1990).
When he was the Head of the University Unit (1997 – 2001) in the Private Education Department, Ministry of Education; he was instrumental in starting and developing the Unit which was a pioneering endeavour. With the introduction of the Private Higher Education Institution Act 1996 (Act 555), he was instrumental in developing the guidelines and policies for the applications in establishing private higher education institutions (PHEI) at the university level such as branch campuses, university colleges and universities. He was also responsible to assess, process and make recommendations to the Ministry of Education for any applications to establish such institutions.
During his tenure as the Head of the University Unit and when Malaysia was hit by the 1997 financial crisis; he was entrusted and instrumental in developing the guidelines and policies for the applications involving the offering of the ‘3 + 0’ programmes, where twinning programmes with foreign universities were allowed to be conducted locally. For these programmes, he was responsible in evaluating, processing and making recommendations to the Ministry of Education for approval for the institutions to conduct the said programmes.
For his remarkable service, he was promoted as the Director of Enforcement in 2001 until his retirement in 2005. As the Director, he was effective in helping the private education sector to grow by ensuring quality education through positive developmental enforcement.
Dr. Ariff has also attended and presented papers at the national as well as international venues through seminars, workshops and conferences viz. Paris, Beijing, Bangkok, Perth, Sydney, Bangkok and Manila. He has also given talks and conducted workshops locally and internationally. He has a wide consulting experience in higher education and has been involved in providing consulting services to the Ministry of Higher Education, the Sultanate of Oman (1995) and the State of Johore, Malaysia (1996).
He has also provided consulting and advising services to various PHEIs such as Curtin University of Technology in Sarawak, Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT), Multimedia University (MMU) and several other colleges of which some have now been upgraded to a university college or university status such as HELP Institute, Sunway College, SEGI College, Taylors College, INTI College and Nilai College.
He has also attended various trainings locally and abroad such as at INNOTECH in Manila, AIT in Bangkok and Harvard International Institute of Development (HIID) at Harvard University, Boston, USA (1992).
After his retirement in 2005, he was invited to be the Senior Vice President, at LUCT (2006-2009), the Project Leader and eventually as the CEO of International College of Automotive Malaysia (ICAM) (2009-2010). He was instrumental in starting and developing ICAM. Presently he is a principal consultant with Kamaruzzaman and Assosiates, a company specializing in higher education. He is also an advisor and academic board member of Putra International College.
