STUDY LOANS

 

 

1. National Higher Education Fund / Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN)

 

Local students who qualifies and fulfill the requirement may apply to the National Higher Education Fund (NHEF) Loan or Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN). The college will assist the students in submitting their application forms together with the appropriate documents attached.

The Institut will make the necessary reimbursement for payments if any, once the loan from PTPTN is received. For more details log onto www.ptptn.gov.my or write to:

2. Bank Rakyat

 

Local students are able to apply on their own the loan given by Bank Rakyat. The College will be pleased to assist them in their submission of their forms attached with their appropriate documents for those who qualify. For more information, log onto www.bankrakyat.com.my.

 

 

3. Employees Provident Fund (EPF) / Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP)

 

Parents or individuals who are members of EPF may withdraw their money from their second account to finance one’s higher education or their children’s tertiary education. For more details, log onto www.kwsp.gov.my.

 

 

 

 

 

4. Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) / Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO)

SCHOLARSHIPS / TUITION WAIVER

 

 

1. President Scholarship

 

Quantum and duration of the scholarship are decided solely by the President's discretion. Please write in for application.

 

 

2. Achievement Scholarship

 

The Achievement Scholarship will be awarded to new students who meet the entry requirements and the stated minimum achievement scores.

The Scholarship is divided into categories as follows:

3. Leadership Scholarship

The Leadership Scholarship will be awarded to new students who are active in school extra curricular activities and/or are athletes.

The value shall be 50% percentage reduction in the tuition fee.

Shorlisted candidates will be interviewed and selected by the PIC Scholarship Board. Quantum shall be decided by the board.

 

 

4. PIC Leadership Scholarship

 

The PIC Leadership Scholarship will be awarded to exsting students who are active in extra curricular activities.

The value shall be a maximum of 20% reduction in the tuition fee.

Shorlisted candidates will be interviewed and selected by the PIC Scholarship Board. Quantum shall be decided by the board.

 

5. Merit Scholarship

Merit Scholarship will be awarded based on the performance of the student and the value shall be a percentage reduction in the tuition fees as follows:-

More or equals to 3.50, Less or equals to 3.7499	10%

Quantum shall be decided by scholarship board. The period of application is from 1st DECEMBER to 31st DECEMBER of each year. Applications received after this period will not be processed.

 

Selection Criteria

In making its recommendations, the Scholarship Board shall consider the candidates' academic records and other related factors.

 

 

6. Tuition Waiver for Siblings

Putra International College is also offering tuition waivers to siblings (brothers or sisters) of existing students. The tuition waiver is applicable for the first year alone and only on tuition fees.

3rd family member	30%

 

 

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

* Scholarships available for Malaysian students only.

* All the scholarships/tuition waivers for siblings are subject to the first year of study only. After the first year, the scholars are entitled to apply for Merit Scholarship or PIC Leadership Scholarship in which the terms and conditions of the merit scholarship remains the same.

* The scholarship may be withdrawn at anytime, if in the opinion of the Scholarship Board, the progress or behavior of the scholar has not been satisfactory.

* The President may, in his discretion, waived any of the provision of these Rules.
